Kitchen Magic approached IGS in May requiring a solution to help manage one of their processes.

After an initial discovery phone call and then site visit, IGS were able to provide a proposal to solve a process giving the business daily pain.

Kitchen Magic had recently upgrading their accounting system, with the new system not providing the functionality to properly track their projects deposits and settlement payments and make the appropriate transactions to correctly report in the accounts as they had previously done.

The business was managing the situation through the use of two spreadsheets that were both cumbersome and prone to error, as well as requiring the information to be entered into two places (spreadsheets as well as the accounting package).

By using a third-party tool, and the development of a web application, IGS provided a neat solution to track the matched and unmatched transactions, as well as keep the accounting system up to date daily. The solution also provided a control figure of unmatched transactions to correlate to the accounts.

In early July IGS attended Kitchen Magic’s site to deliver the system. The Deposit / Balance Matching System has been in daily use since.
